34 days, 5 cities, 3 countries and 8 airports — with no checked bags.
To prove it to myself (and document the things that went), I snapped a few pics of the bare essentials that made my bag along the way.
What I packed for 5 Weeks, 3 Countries and 8 Airports with NO checked bags:
A: Tech, Essentials, Documents
B: Makeup, Hair, Accessories +
Makeup: MAC Pro Palette | NARS Orgasm Blush | Dior Mascara | Milani Eyeliner | Bare Minerals Complexion | MAC Russian Red Lipstick | Duane Reade Makeup Wipes | Not Shown: Naked 2 Palette + MAC Brush Kit
Tops: 5 Tanktops | 3 Blouses | 5 T-Shirts
Bottoms: 2 Jeans | 1 Pants
Dresses: 2 Dresses
Sleepwear: 3 Leggings | 2 Pajama Tops
Accessories: 1 Knit Hat | 3 Scarves | Not Shown: 2 Bras | 2 Sports Bras | 15 Undies
D: Shoes + Socks
Other: 1 Black Diamond Headlamp
E: Last-Minute Additions
To be expected, everything in image A was the most-used, and while it was definitely nice to not worry about a checked bag making it through the venture across the world on the way in, I was definitely wishing images C + D had more contents towards the end.
I wore everything except the hiking boots at least twice (and that sweatshirt about 15 time — OYF!). Looking back, I would been better off trading the extra heavy shoes for another pair of jeans and a top.
Now I know for next time!
On to you guys! What makes your bare-bones travel bag?
