JetLev – Literally, a Flying Rocket Ship

Red Sail Sports on Palm Beach in Aruba has this thing called JetLev and it is white-girl “literally” a flying rocket ship that you strap to your back and then go fly around the ocean in. No big deal. o.O jetlev-aruba I’m all about an adventure, but there’s no denying that this is intimidating. I made my friend Lauren go first. She’s a rockstar.

To start, they strap you into this 420 pound jetpack. Um.

Then, you float out into the water and the super JetLev pro instructor teaches you how to operate the machine. Still terrified at this point.

Once you get going, flying a few feet above the water (you can go up to 30ft. high I just wasn’t that talented) is REALLY FREAKING AWESOME.

Then you get lost in the euphoria of awesome and start to fall. (It’s only ocean.)

Then you want to feel awesome again and figure your way back up.

By the time 45 minutes passed I was ready to unstrap but would have definitely gone out for a second round after regaining my composure.

The super pro instructor showed us some crazy tricks after and we even saw him fly around to nearby happy hour decks. Talk about an entrance!

Have you ever seen one of these things before? Would you do it!?
